Estavayer-le-Lac - castle of Chenaux

Estavayer-le-Lac is a little medieval town on the lakeside of lake Neuchatel, 19km northeast of Yverdon, situated in the enclave of Canton Fribourg, surrounded on three sides by Canton Vaud. The castle of Chenaux, started in 1290 by Pierre d’Estavayer, was added to over 450 years, and is now the seat of the local government.
