THE GOAL OF MEDITATION (VS RELAXATION)

by Anatoly IVANOV

PSYCHOLOGY / SPIRIT / ESSAYS

Sitting down, closing your eyes and focusing on your breath is… relaxation. Which is fine.

The point of meditation is to move beyond the confines of the illusory separate self into a stabilized state of maximum awareness (and eventually enlightenment) where you experience the cessation of space-time, log into the boundless pool of knowledge to instantly download whatever you want to understand (past, present and future) and live your life with as little illusion and as much comprehension (from galaxies to atoms) as possible, getting back on track of your unique homo sapiens’ path of contribution to others… creative contribution to the everything and everyone that is indivisibly you.
